I’m Tim Talley. I’ve always been a problem solver, and I’m a guy who loves culture and fashion, too.
The idea for a new way to lace sneakers came in 2008 while searching the world for new trends — I found inspiration in the colorful fashions of Harajuku, Japan. That was the beginning of the entire modular shoelace category.
Today, uLace is sold all around the world. I love knowing that it’s making life better for people of all ages. We hear from people every day that uLace makes their life more convenient, more colorful, more functional, and even a little bit more fun.

I purchased these for utilitarian reasons. Many years ago, I had purchased, as it turns out the greatest water shoes a creeker would ever need: Bogs Crosswater, with the kevlar mesh. Why they were discontinued. . . When they finally wore out, and I could no longer find 2nd hand replacements, I tried the many failings of brand X. No durability. I purchased these Altima Swim/Land shoes, because the quality of build seemed far above any available creeker shoes. I was seriously regretting my high dollar choice. . . Really uncomfortable, nothing like a water shoe feel, the insoles were terrible, etc. I found a flat insole, better, but not feeling any better about them. . . And yes, the lace up is the worst of any shoe I have owned, really tanking the value of my purchase, per my uses. Then I bought these wonderful laces, and it made these shoes worth having, gave them the perfect feel, and so much easier to get on and off than my Crosswaters ever were. Terrific save Ulace! The only thing I would change, is offering a camouflage assortment, so I didn't have to buy so many. They are not cheap, or even reasonably priced, two packs per shoe? At $7? Kind of insulting, but the did make these shoes worth keeping.
Love these! They are in both my tennis shoes as you see. Wearing shoes can be hard for me after I broke my foot and some bones didn’t heal properly- these laces keep my shoes in my feet yet give when I need them to.
I ordered these shoelaces to give a bit of a mixed color appearance to my Vans, and they certainly do the job! I really love the look of the straps being actual fabric rather than silicone. I'm certainly planning on buying these for my next pair of shoes.
I love the convenience of U-lace the colors are great for matching the stylish sneakers I love and wear. I would prefer they make the 7 lace a pack to fill in all the holes in adult women's shoes.
These work perfect for my Splays! These shoes came with ridiculously long laces, so I replaced them with U-Laces. They did stick out the very top and poke me a little because the top row of eyelets is so high... However, after the photo, I removed the laces from the top row and they still work fine! Highly recommend!
Got tired of my shoelaces becoming untied in the most inconvenient places like the middle of the parking lot. My dog also enjoyed chewing on the end of my laces. uLace solved the problem. No more having to stop and tie my shoes and no more dog chewing on the end of the laces. I enjoy the convenience of now being able to slip on my shoes.

This the 2nd time that I got uLace for my sneakers, and is great & easy to convert a lace up sneakers to a slip on style. Also, came in many colors to combine and in a convenient 4 sizes for each sneakers style. Just love it!!!♥️
I'm getting a dadbod beerbelly. If I don't manspread while donning my kicks. I start to feel like I'm vomiting if I don't blow out and hold my breath.
U-Lace severely shortens my breath-holding time so I don't pass out.
