STEP 1
Measure the Bottom Eyelet-Span
Measurement note: if your shoes utilize loops, measure from the fold in the laces that occurs at the loop as show in the example above. The measurement above is 2.25”: for a more snug fit choose 2.0”; for less snug choose 2.5”.
Choose measurement that most closely matches your bottom eyelet-span
STEP 2
Measure the Top Eyelet-Span
In the example above the top eyelet span closer to 2.5” than 3.0” so the proper choice would be 2.5”
Note: If your Top Eyelet Span is the only set of eyelets that widens out at the top near your ankle, choose your bottom eyelet span as your top eyelet span.
Choose measurement that most closely matches your top eyelet-span
STEP 3
Measure the Eyelet Spacing
In the example above the measurement from the center of one eyelet to the adjacent eyelet is closest to .75”
Choose the spacing that most closely matched your eyelet spacing
STEP 4
Count the number of Pairs of Eyelets
In the example above 5 set of eyelets/loops were used to lace and tie the sneaker.
It is worth noting that the eyelet spacing between the top 2 eyelets is bigger than the .75 chosen in the example above. 3 of 4 eyelet spacings are 0.75”. Always choose the most dominant eyelet spacing on your shoe; in this example above - 0.75”
Choose the number of sets of eyelets that you utilized to lace your shoes
